David R. Laird, Q.C.
David is the firm's senior principal. He has practiced labour relations and employment law since 1973, giving advice to and representing employers in negotiations, before tribunals and courts, including the Supreme Court of Canada.
David graduated from the University of Alberta Law School in 1972. Prior to entering law school has was employed in labour relations representing management in Alberta and British Columbia. David was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1988.
David has chaired the Labour Law Subsection of the Canadian Bar Association (Southern Alberta branch) and has served as an active member of various labour law legislative review committees.
David is recognized by Lexpert, as a "most frequently recommended" labour relations and employment law practitioner.
